With effect from 01 April 2009 the current Statutory Disciplinary and Dismissal Procedures and the Statutory Grievance procedure are abolished and are replaced by the new ACAS Code of Practice on Disciplinary Procedures.
The final draft is still to be published but early indications show that most Company Disciplinary and Grievance procedures will have to be reviewed and re-written to ensure that they comply with the new code of practice.
