Ward Goodman help manufacturers consider growth in 2011 with free seminar

On the 14th December 2010 Ward Goodman Chartered Accountants teamed up with manufacturing specialist Nigel Jones of the Manufacturing Advisory Service to host a free lunchtime seminar to clients and manufacturing businesses in the local area. With the manufacturing recovery gathering pace and predictions being made for this to continue in 2011, the timing of the seminar was perfect for local manufacturers looking for ideas and guidance on how to prepare for the growth of their businesses in 2011.

Ward Goodman believes in taking a proactive approach to helping clients and local businesses. Seminars and workshops, similar to this one, is an important way to get business leaders within the same industry in a forum where they can get information and discuss issues and opportunities within their sector. These hour long seminars which are dedicated to certain sectors or topics are designed to present specific information in a short period of time without interrupting the working day. The latest manufacturing seminar discussed how companies can prepare for growth in 2011 by looking at their current processes and the importance of management information when planning growth strategies. Ward Goodman plans to host further seminars in 2011 which will have a different focus to accommodate different industries and businesses.

Attendees of the seminar commented that they found the information presented extremely useful and it gave them a different perspective to consider in their growth strategies, with one attendee saying, “I am always sceptical about attending free seminars, but this was definitely worth taking the time out of my day to ensure that I choose the right growth strategy for my business in 2011.”

Ward Goodman Managing Director Graham Ball commented, “We are always looking for new ways to help clients. By hosting industry specific seminars, clients and local businesses are given relevant, useful information and tools that will make a real difference to their business.”
