"Here we go again!"

As if the planned tax increases for 2010 were not already worrying
enough, this year's pre Budget report will be with us on 6 December.
This is the annual autumn statement from our "Darling" Chancellor where
he sets out his plans for the Spring Budget. This should certainly be
interesting listening as it will no doubt be very politically driven
with an imminent Election.

Will he cut taxes to buy votes for next year? He will be pressured to do
this by the rest of the Cabinet, but seems unlikely with the country set
on buying its way out of a recession. As always we will be reading
through the fine detail to look for the tax saving opportunities - and
pitfalls - that are hidden away. Our money is on an increase to VAT,
and new legislation to prevent people trying to avoid the new planned
50% income tax.
