
Employees on long-term sickness win holiday ruling
The European Court of Justice has today ruled that employees on long-term sick leave are entitled to take all holiday that they have accrued when they return to work and if their employment is terminated or they leave their employment the employer must make payment in respect of the equivalent holiday pay for the time they were unable to take while they were ill.
